Week 4 Photoshop Exercises

Original Image.
Creating a pattern using alt+hold&drag and groups.
While the background layer is selected, choose a new colour from the colour panel and then click alt+delete and it will turn the background that colour. 
Using the circle symbol at the bottom of the layers panel ('create new fill or adjustment layer'), put a photo filter on a group (or layer) to change the hue/saturation of it. To make it only effect that group, the Blending Option needs to be set to 'Normal'. 
Creating a clipping mask.
With a clipping mask you can edit the text and you can reposition it over the image/move the image around underneath the text. 
Using Layer Effects to make a drop shadow.
Using Edit-Transform-Perspective to make an image appear to have depth.
Adding more layer effects (Drop Shadow, Bevel and Emboss etc). 
Using Layer Masks. 
Using a Photo Filter and a Layer Mask together to change the hue/saturation of only one area of the image.

Using a Photo Filter and a Layer Mask together to change the hue/saturation of only one area of the image. 
Using a two Photo Filters to have two different hues/saturations within one image. You can copy a Layer Mask to a new Photo Filter by deleting that Filter's Layer Mask and then dragging the Layer Mask you wish to copy to that Photo Filter using alt+command.
You can use the Selection Tool to select a perfect shape for your layer mask.
